United States Attorney Marty J. Jackley announced today that on November 27,
2006, Donovan Dale Wright, Jr., a/k/a "D.J.", pled guilty in federal
court to abusive sexual contact. Wright, 20, of Porcupine, appeared before U.S.
District Judge Karen E. Schreier and pled guilty following an investigation conducted
by the BIA and the FBI. The maximum penalty upon conviction is ten years imprisonment
and/or a $250,000 fine. Jackley said the charge relates to an incident that occurred
on September 5, 2005, when Wright sexually abused a minor child. The case was
prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Carolyn G. Royce. A presentence
investigation was ordered and a sentencing date will be set.
