United States Attorney Marty J. Jackley announced today that on August 28,
2006, Dustin Hart, age 25, of Pine Ridge was sentenced by U.S. District Judge
Karen E. Schreier to five months prison, three years supervised release, and
ordered to pay $100 to the Victim's Assistance Fund. Hart was originally indicted
by a federal grand jury in April 2006 for Possession with Intent to Distribute
a Controlled Substance following an investigation conducted by the Federal
Bureau of Investigation. The charges stem from an incident involving the defendant
on March 3, 2006, near Pine Ridge, South Dakota. On June 14, 2006, Hart pleaded
guilty to Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance. This
case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Gregg S. Peterman.
