Pine Ridge Woman Sentenced 168 Months for Cocaine Distribution

United States Attorney Marty J. Jackley announced today that on October 5, 2006, Dawnee Frogg, age 29, of Rapid City was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Karen E. Schreier to 168 months imprisonment, five years supervised release, and a $100 Victim Assessment fine. Frogg was originally indicted by a federal grand jury in February 2006 for Conspiracy to Distribute Cocaine and Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine following an investigation conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms, SD UNET, the Rapid City Police Department, and the Oglala Sioux Tribal Police. The charges stem from an incident involving the illegal sale of drugs on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. On June 16, 2006, Frogg pleaded guilty to Conspiracy to Distribute Cocaine. This case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Mara M. Kohn. |
