Man
sentenced on Aggravated Sexual Abuse Charge
United States Attorney
Marty J. Jackley announced today that on August 29, 2006, Dane Carter
Running Horse, of Manderson, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Richard
H. Battey to 121 months imprisonment, 15 years supervised release and
a $100 victims' assessment. Running Horse, 33, was originally indicted
by a federal grand jury in April, 2006 for Aggravated Sexual Abuse following
an investigation conducted by the FBI. The charge stems from incidents
occurring between April, 2002, and May, 2003, near Manderson when Running
Horse engaged in sexual acts with a person under the age of 12. On June
13, 2006, Running Horse pled guilty to Aggravated Sexual Abuse. This
case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Carolyn G. Royce.
