Pine Ridge Woman Sentenced 120 months for Cocaine Distribution

United States Attorney Marty J. Jackley announced today that on May 14, 2007, Tanya Elk Boy, age 29, of Pine Ridge was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Karen E. Schreier to 120 months imprisonment, five years supervised release, and ordered to pay $100 to the Victim's Assistance Fund. Elk Boy was originally indicted by a federal grand jury in July 2006 for conspiracy to distribute cocaine following an investigation conducted by the FBI and ATF. The charge relates to a drug conspiracy, involving others, between late 2002 and early 2006. On February 9, 2007, Elk Boy pled guilty to conspiracy to distribute cocaine. This case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Mara M. Kohn.
