Mississippi Man Sentenced to 16 years for Having Sexual Contact with a Child

August 8, 2007

Rapid City, South Dakota

United States Attorney Marty J. Jackley announced today that on August 6, 2007, David Grant Frazier, Sr., of Philadelphia, Mississippi, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Andrew W. Bogue to 192 months imprisonment, three years supervised release and a $100 victims' assessment. Frazier, 46, was originally indicted by a federal grand jury in July 2006 for aggravated sexual abuse following an investigation conducted by the FBI and BIA. The charge stems from an incident occurring between January and July1999 when Frazier had sexual contact with a six-year-old child near Porcupine. On May 24, 2007, Frazier pled guilty to abusive sexual contact. This case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Carolyn G. Royce.
