US Attorney Marty J. Jackley announced that a Mission man charged with abusive sexual contact was sentenced on April 29, 2008, by United States District Court Chief Judge Karen E. Schreier. Frank J. White Thunder, age 20, was sentenced to thirty-six months custody and five years of supervised release. He must register as a sex offender within three business days and cooperate on DNA collection. White Thunder was indicted for aggravated sexual abuse by a federal grand jury on August 30, 2007. The charge relates to the sexual assault of a nineteen-year-old Parmelee girl on January 22-23, 2007. White Thunder pled guilty to abusive sexual contact on February 7, 2008. This case was investigated by the FBI and the Rosebud Sioux Tribe Police Department and was prosecuted by Assistant US Attorney Randolph J. Seiler. White Thunder was immediately turned over to the custody of the US Marshal.
