Jury Finds White Clay Man Guilty of Conspiracy to Distribute Cocaine and Marijuana on Pine Ridge Indian Reservation

United States Attorney Marty J. Jackley announced that a man charged with conspiracy to distribute cocaine appeared for trial on June 15-19, 2009, before US District Court Chief Judge Karen E. Schreier. Lyle Wilson, age 48 of White Clay, was found guilty on three counts of the indictment for conspiracy to distribute 5 kilos of cocaine and conspiracy to distribute 100 kilos of marijuana and possession with intent to distribute cocaine. Wilson was indicted by a federal grand jury on May 22, 2008, and was found guilty by a jury. This case was investigated by the FBI, ATF, and BIA. The case was prosecuted by Assistant US Attorney Mara M. Kohn. Wilson was immediately turned over to the custody of the US Marshal. A sentencing date of September 14, 2009, has been set.
