On Monday, November 6, 2006, at approximately11: 45 a.m., a lone individual attempted to rob the American Bank, 1425 Maryland Avenue East, St. Paul, Minnesota. The alleged robber approached the front door of the bank dressed in a black ski mask and carrying a royal blue cloth bag with a drawstring. The robber attempted to enter the bank, but could not, because the bank employees control access into the bank. A bank employee yelled to other bank employees not to open the door. The robber fled the bank area and was last seen running north on foot. A bag matching the description of the bag the robber was carrying was found a few blocks from the bank and contained clothing and a black handgun.
The robber is described as a Black male, in his 20s, approximately 5’9” tall, and approximately 190 lbs. The robber was wearing a black ski mask, red jacket with a white tee shirt hanging out, blue jeans and dirty white tennis shoes.
This robber is believed to be responsible for the October 25, 2006, and October 10, 2006, robberies of the TCF Bank-Cub Foods Branch, 2195 Old Hudson Road, St. Paul, Minnesota
