The Minnesota
Fugitive Task Force (MFTF) today, announced the arrest of JUREZ LAMAR
SLAUGHTER, a/k/a/ Fresh, age 24, of Minneapolis, Minnesota. This morning,
at approximately 7:20 a.m. CDT, Minnesota Fugitive Task Force members
arrested Slaughter at a residence located in the 3600 block of Penn
Avenue North, Minneapolis, Minnesota. The arrest was without incident.
Stevens County
authorities believed that Slaughter was in the Twin Cities area and
contacted the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office for assistance in locating
Slaughter. The Hennepin County Sheriffs Office contacted the Minnesota
Fugitive Task Force and Slaughter was subsequently located and arrested.
A criminal complaint
filed on September 20, 2006, in Stevens County District Court, Morris
Minnesota, charges Slaughter with Murder in the Second Degree in connection
with the alleged June 9, 2006, death of Paul Marcus Cohen, age 5 months,
of Morris, Minnesota.
