FBI SEEKING PUBLIC’S ASSISTANCE
Ralph S. Boelter, Special Agent in Charge of the Minneapolis FBI office is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying an unknown bank robber. The robber is believed to be responsible for two bank robberies in South Dakota on August 13 and August 14, 2007. A possible getaway vehicle was seen during the August 14, 2007, robbery of the Wells Fargo Bank, located at 403 North Lawler, Mitchell, SD. This vehicle, a blue GM two door, had Minnesota plates. It is possible that the robber may be from Minnesota and is committing his crimes in South Dakota. If anyone has information regarding either of these bank robberies, please contact the Sioux Falls FBI office at 605-334-6881 or the Minneapolis FBI office at 612-376-3200.
On August 13, 2007, at approximately 10:55 am, an unknown white male entered the Valley bank, located at 3520 South Louise Avenue, Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The robber approached the victim teller, and made a verbal demand for cash. The robber made a motion toward his waistband, but no weapon was displayed. After receiving cash from the teller, the robber left the bank on foot through the west door and walked around the south end of the bank, which led to a Target store parking lot. Surveillance photographs from the bank are attached. The robber is believed to be the same robber who robbed the Wells Fargo Bank in Mitchell, South Dakota on August 14, 2007.

Sex: male
Height: 5'10" - 6'1"
Weight: 160-180 pounds
Eyes: brown
Build Medium
Age: 25 - 30 years of age
Characteristics: mustache and beard on chin
Clothing: brown baseball cap, plaid colored shirt with sleeves partially rolled up, blue jeans, white tennis shoes, and black watch
On August 14, 2007, at approximately 12:30 pm, an unknown white male entered the Wells Fargo Bank, located at 403 North Lawler, Mitchell, South Dakota. The robber approached the victim teller, and made a verbal demand for cash. The robber stated this was not funny, lifted his shirt, and motioned to his waistband in a manner indicating he had a weapon. No weapon was displayed. After receiving cash, the robber left the bank and was believed to have entered a blue GM two-door car with Minnesota plates. Surveillance photographs from the bank are attached.

Weight: 160-180 pounds
Build: thin
Age: 25 - 40 years of age
Characteristics: dark brown/reddish mustache, light pock marks on cheeks
Clothing: tan/brown ball cap, plaid colored shirt.
