On
Friday, November 2, 2007, at approximately 6:55 p.m., the TCF Bank located
at 3899 Silver Lake Road NE, St. Anthony, Minnesota, was a robbed by
a lone individual. The robber entered the bank, pointed a black semi-automatic
handgun at the employees and ordered them to the floor. He then handed
a light blue pillowcase to a teller and ordered the teller to fill the
pillowcase with cash from the teller drawers. The robber then ordered
everyone up off the floor and into the back room where more money was
located. Once again, he ordered the employees to put the cash in the
pillowcase. The robber then ordered the employees face down on the floor
and then he ran out the east door of the bank with an undisclosed amount
of money.
The robber was described
as a likely Hispanic male, possibly 25-35 years old, approximately 6'0"
tall, 170-180 pounds, medium build, very short hair, wearing a black
nylon over his face, a large brown hooded sweatshirt, navy blue pants
(likely running pants/windbreaker type) and white running sneakers.
Again, he was carrying a light blue pillowcase and a black semi-automatic
handgun. The robber was very aggressive and threatened to kill the employees
several times. The robber always kept the handgun pointed at one of
the employees. The robber did receive a dye pack; therefore he may have
red dye stains on his clothing and on the stolen money.
