On Friday, March
21, 2008, at approximately 7:20 a.m., the Bremer Bank located at 2965
White Bear Avenue, Maplewood, Minnesota, was a robbed by a lone gunman.
The robber entered the locked bank after prying open a back door of
the bank. The robber, pointing a dark colored handgun, confronted a
bank employee and demanded money. The robber handcuffed the employee
and placed the employee on the floor. The robber then proceeded to pry
open the teller drawers and put the stolen loot into a children's baby
blue backpack with yellow trim. The robber fled the bank with an undisclosed
amount of money.
The robber was
described as a black male, late 20s, approximately 5'7"-5'9"
tall, slight build, with a scruffy mustache and unshaven face. The robber
was wearing a light blue hooded sweatshirt, blue jacket, blue jeans,
and dark colored tennis shoes.
