On
Monday, May 5, 2008, at approximately 10:20 a.m., the Mainstreet Bank, located
at 1650 South Lake Street, Forest Lake, Minnesota, was robbed by a lone
individual. The robber approached the victim teller and presented a threatening
demand note for money. The robber received an undisclosed amount of money
and was last seen on foot heading north along Highway 61.
The robber is
described as black male, dark complexion, slight beard, in his 20s, approximately
5’4”-5’6”tall, 130-150
lbs, with a medium build. The robber was wearing a dark colored baseball
cap with a black dew rag hanging down the back of his neck, black unzipped
hooded sweatshirt, oversized red shirt, and black jeans.
This robber is
believed to be responsible for the May 2, 2008, robbery of the Como Northtown
Community Credit Union, located at 976 North Lexington Parkway, St. Paul,
Minnesota. At approximately, 4:30 pm, the robber presented a threatening
demand note for money. The robber received an undisclosed amount of money
and was last seen heading north on Lexington Parkway. A dye pack exploded
and all the money was recovered a short distance from the bank. The robber
is described as a black male, early 20s, 5’4”-5’6” tall,
with a medium build. The robber was wearing dark colored baseball cap with
a red dew rag hanging down the back of his neck, dark oversized shirt with
a white tee shirt hanging out, dark pants and dark shoes.

this bank robbery contact the Minneapolis FBI (612) 376-3200, the Forest
Lake Police Department, St. Paul Police Department or Crime Stoppers. A
reward is offered for information leading to the arrest and indictment of
this bank robber.
