Ralph S. Boelter, Special Agent in Charge of the Minneapolis FBI office, today, announced the federal arrest of Suresh Harlan Small, age 26, of St. Louis Park, Minnesota.
Small was taken into federal custody on Friday, April 4, 2008. Small was previously arrested by the Plymouth Police Department on March 28, 2008; shortly after Small allegedly robbed the TCF Bank, located at 3899 Silver Lake Road, St. Anthony, MN.
On April 3, 2008, a federal criminal complaint was filed in United States District Court, District of Minnesota, Minneapolis, Minnesota, charging Suresh Harlan Small with bank robbery for the alleged March 28, 2008, robbery of the TCF Bank, located at 3899 Silver Lake Road, St. Anthony, Minnesota.
On Friday, April 4, 2008, Suresh Harlan Small made his Initial Appearance in United States District Court and was ordered detained pending further court proceedings.
This investigation is a joint effort by the St. Anthony Police Department, St. Louis Park Police Department, Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office and the FBI. The United States Attorney’s Office, District of Minnesota is prosecuting this case.
The charges in a federal criminal complaint are merely an accusation and defendants are presumed innocent until they are proven guilty .
