Ralph S. Boelter, Special Agent in Charge of the Minneapolis FBI office, today, announced the arrest of Tamara Lynn McDonald age 45, of Souris, North Dakota. Today, at approximately 11:30 am, FBI agents arrested McDonald without incident at her residence located in Souris, North Dakota.
This morning, April 11, 2008, a federal criminal complaint was filed in United States District Court, District of North Dakota, Bismarck, North Dakota charging Tamara Lynn McDonald with intent to defraud the bank, knowingly embezzle, abstract, purloin and willfully misapply in excess of $1,000.00 of the moneys and funds from the State Bank of Bottineau, Souris Branch, Souris, North Dakota on or about December 2007 to March 2008.
This afternoon, McDonald made her Initial Appearance in United States District Court and was released on a personal recognizance bond pending further court proceedings.
This investigation was a joint effort by the Bottineau County Sheriff’s Office, North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation, Minot Police Department and the FBI. The United States Attorney’s Office, District of North Dakota is prosecuting this case.
The charges in a federal criminal complaint are merely an accusation and defendants are presumed innocent until they are proven guilty.
