On Thursday, January 10, 2008, at approximately 7:25 a.m., two masked men attempted to rob the Teacher Federal Credit Union located at 2150 Lexington Avenue North, Roseville, Minnesota. The robbers were hiding somewhere near the bank parking lot and carjacked a bank employee who arrived to open the bank. One of the robbers pointed a black pistol at the victim employee and ordered the victim employee into the bank. The other robber jumped into the employee’s vehicle and waited for the armed robber. The armed robber attempted to force the victim employee to open the bank vault, but the employee was not authorized to open the vault. The robber became upset, threatened the victim employee and struck the victim more than once in the head with the gun. The victim employee sustained a head injury that required medical attention. Eventually, the frustrated robber gave up and exited the bank without any money. The robbers then fled the bank parking lot in the employee’s vehicle. Approximately 20 minutes later, Roseville police officers located the stolen vehicle, which was abandoned in the 900 block of Parker Avenue. Robber #1 (armed robber) is described as a black male, 25 to 35 years of age, 5’7”-5’9”, 200-220 lbs, with a heavy build. Robber #1 was wearing a black fleece hooded sweatshirt, white tee shirt, dark pants, black mesh mask, and black gloves. Robber #2 is described as a black male, taller and thinner then Robber #1. Robber #2 was dressed in all black clothing with a black mask.
