On Friday, February 1, 2008, at approximately 6:55 p.m., the TCF Bank located at 8020 Highway 7, St. Louis Park, Minnesota, was a robbed by a lone masked gunman. The robber entered the bank through the north door, pointed a black semi-automatic handgun at several bank employees and one customer, and then ordered them all to the floor. The robber then forced the employees into a back room and ordered the employees to put money into a bag the robber was carrying. The robber again ordered the employees to the floor and he fled out the north door with an undisclosed amount of money.
The robber was described as a black or Hispanic male, possibly 25-35 years old, approximately 5’10”-6'0" tall, 180-2000 pounds, wearing a black nylon stocking mask over his face, a light colored hooded sweatshirt, gold puffy down vest with white embroidery on the left breast, dark nylon jogging pants with a white vertical stripe running the length of each leg and yellow colored work gloves.
This robber is believed to be responsible for the January 11, 2008, robbery of the TCF Bank located at 3899 Silver Lake Road NE, St. Anthony , Minnesota; and the November 2, 2007, robbery of the TCF Bank located at 3899 Silver Lake Road NE, St. Anthony , Minnesota.
