Seeking Information on Bank Robbery in Rosemount

On Wednesday, October 21, 2009, at approximately 11:00 a.m., the First State Bank of Rosemount at 3025 145th Street West, Rosemount, Minnesota, was robbed by a lone individual. The robber entered the bank, pulled a white bandana up over his face, and approached the victim teller. He displayed a black handgun, pointing it in the teller’s direction, then ordered her verbally to turn over cash. After the teller turned over an undisclosed amount of money, the robber placed the cash in his pants pocket and fled the bank on foot. He was last seen running west on 145th Street away from the bank.

The robber is described as a white male in his 30’s, approximately 5’10” – 6’0” tall with a slender to medium build. He was wearing a blue and gray jacket, dark pants, a white bandana covering his face, and a red baseball cap with a white emblem on it. Dark sunglasses were placed on top of the hat, and he carried a black handgun in his left hand. This robber is believed to be responsible for five other area bank robberies, including an attempted robbery of the Cherokee Bank in St. Paul yesterday.

Ralph S. Boelter, Special Agent in Charge of the Minneapolis Office of the FBI, requests that anyone with information regarding this bank robbery contact the Minneapolis FBI at 612-376-3200, the Rosemount Police Department, or Crime Stoppers. A reward is offered for information leading to the arrest and indictment of this bank robber.
